2.17.19 Modsquad Challenge!!!!! Happy Birthday floral

I am excited to enter this card into a contest with the Mod Squad Challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate from Kitchen Sink Stamps:

I created this card for my mom's birthday today (Happy Birthday MOM). I used the Brutus Monroe stamp set "Botanical Banners" which features three roses. First, I stamped the image using Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink. Then I heat embossed the stamped image with Brutus Monroe Raven Embossing Powder. Next, I used Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigments in the following colors to make the roses:

Hollyhock Metallic
Iris Metallic
Lavender Metallic
Cactus Metallic
Yellow Green

I like how the aqua pigments created such a stunning and vibrant floral image. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut the stamped image out. After my image was complete, I used the Brutus Monroe embossing ink to create a water mark back ground. This effect was created by inking the Brutus Monroe Floral Lace Background stamp with embossing ink and stamping it onto a piece of light purple paper for the card panel. I used my heat gun to dry the embossing ink. No embossing powder was used on the background stamp. This created the subtle water mark background.

I heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment stamp from the Brutus Monroe Sharon's Script stamp set with Brutus Monroe Raven Embossing Powder. This sentiment was stamped using Brutus Monroe embossing ink onto brown craft paper. I used a Sixxiz sentiment strip to die cut the sentiment. I used Aubergine Brutus Monroe card stock for my card base. I added a few purple gem embellishments and the card was complete!

2.13.19 Chroma Glaze Birthday Card

This birthday card was created with the Brutus Monroe Birthday background stencil and Chroma Glaze. The presents and banner came from a set by Stampabilities. I embossed the presents and the banner with Brutus Monroe Scarlet Embossing Powder. The Chroma Glazes are a very vibrant medium with a great deal of shine!

Big Impact, Affordable Price, High Quality

Thanks to my stamping friend Nancy of Nancy Stamps on You Tube, I heard of a Stamp Company called Stamplorations. They offer Photo polymer stamps, high quality dies and stencils. What I found the most pleasing are the bold, affordable sentiments! Here are some cards that I made with these STAMPLORATIONS stamps.

For this card I created background paper using a gemstone that was part of a stamp set I had in my stash. I used Brutus Monroe surface inks to ink the gems in a variety of colors. I stamped the sentiment using Brutus Monroe Detail Ink in Raven (black).

Much like the first card, I made this card the same way. The glitter stock in aqua blue is from Doodle Bug Designs.

One of my favorite quotes by Ghandi is featured in this sentiment. This is a powerful quote, in my opinion. The little girl is blowing on a dandelion and making a wish, thus I paired this sentiment about what you wish to see in the world with a child making a wish. The girl, flowers, and grass and shadow outline of the girl are all from the Hero Arts stamp and die set "Wish I May." The background paper is embossed with the Brutus Monroe Vintage Tapestry Embossing Folder. I used Brutus Monroe surface inks in various shades of blue to blend the paper.

I paired a heart stamp from Unity Stamp Company with this sentiment. The stamp was part of the December 2018 Kit of the Month Club set. I colored in the flowers using various alcohol markers.

I paired a Chess King and Queen from the Unity Stamp Company with this sentiment. The stamp was part of the December 2018 Kit of the Month Club set. I colored in the chess pieces using various alcohol markers. The background paper is embossed with the Brutus Monroe Aztech Stars Embossing Folder. I used Brutus Monroe surface inks in various shades of red to blend the paper. I put a few black Nuvo Crystal Drops around the stamped image. My friend Fatimah recommended the sentiment, which reads "You can do amazing things," to instead say "YOU DO AMAZING THINGS." I used a piece of purple tape to mask the word "can" in the sentiment. I selected a stamp with chess pieces because I do not know how to play chess and think anybody that understands how to play chess is amazing!

I Llama You!

Llama You So Much!!!!

One of my first You Tube Lives was creating these Llama Cards. The Live was on 1-6-19 and 1-11-19. I used The Llama from the Llama2Stamp set from Stamps of Life. I colored the Llamas with Alcohol Markers. I used various embossing folders from Brutus Monroe. Then blended the embossed paper with Surface Inks from Brutus Monroe.
