3.2.19 Vellum Floral Sympathy card

Vellum Sympathy Card

Using a lilac colored paper, I created this floral card panel. The stamp is a Brutus Monroe and Unity Stamp Company background stamp. The stamp name is Botanical Background.

I inked the stamp using the Hero Arts Ombre ink pad in Meadow.  I really like how the Ombre Ink Pad helps created a variegated look - easily.

Next I used a piece of Vellum and stamped the sentiment "So Sorry For Your Loss" on the piece of vellum. I also attached a rhinestone.  As you can see, the stamp set is from Sheena "Just Believe."

I used Brutus Monroe Plum Surface Ink to stamp the sentiment.

I thought the card needed a little something more, so I used stamped a butterfly from the Brutus Monroe Butterflies 2.0 stamp set with Plum Brutus Monroe Surface Ink. I adhered the single butterfly to the vellum paper.

I think the butterfly made the card look complete.

I really liked the butterfly on the sympathy card, so I made a second card with a variety of butterflies stamped using a variety of Brutus Monroe surface inks. I used the matching dies to cut out vellum butterflies and adhered them to some of the inked butterflies. I had a card panel made using Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigments in my stash, so I used that for the background. I really like the soft watercolor effect.  The die cut word Brilliant is from Stamplorations.

This was the first time I ever used Vellum on my cards. I enjoy the look and will use it again in the future.
