Kitchen Sink Stamps: Bluebonnets Cards for a Charity Auction

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I would like to share with you some cards I made for a charity auction. Scrappykrafter recently requested support from fellow crafters in donating handmade cards for a charity that she supports. The auction is for the WonderWorks Children's Museum located in Oregon. Here is a link to their website:

I used the Bluebonnets multi-step stamp from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I started by embossing my card panel using Gilded Oval embossing folder (a retired embossing folder from LDRS Creative). I stamped the flower using Paris Blue and Summer Sky inks (Memento).  Stems and leaves were stamped using Bamboo Leaves and New Sprout Inks (Memento). For the butterfly, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Rhubarb Stalk Memento and Potter's Clay by Memento.

This card is for the Mod Squad Challenge Blog: A Time For Giving because I am donating these cards. http://modsquadchallenge.com/a-time-for-giving/

The sentiment "Just for You" is from Crafter's Companion. I added a satin navy blue bow.

I made a You Tube video of how I created the cards:

Here is a link to the website for Kitchen Sink Stamps where you can find the Bluebonnet stamp set:

I made four cards in total. Here are some photos of the other card styles:
The "Get Well" sentiment is from Creative Expressions. I used a baby blue ribbon across the bottom of the card.

Blessed to Know You (Mod Squad Challenge A Time For Giving)

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog. Today I am expressing how thankful I am to be blessed with crafty friends. I am also thankful that I have the supplies to make fun cards to share with others. This card is part of the Mod Squad Challenge. If you are not familiar with the Mod Squad Challenge you should really check it out!  They have awesome prizes = free gift certificates to great stamp companies!  Check it out here: http://modsquadchallenge.com/

The rich reds of fall are my favorite fall colors
On 9/21/2019, I was the hostess at Stamp Club. This is a club that I have recently been welcomed to join here in my town. We meet one time per month and each month a different club member serves as the hostess. The hostess is responsible for helping all the ladies (there are 10 of us) make four different cards. I used a die from Hello Bluebird to make a Happy Birthday card that I shared and we all made together. I had several pieces of unused die cut patterned papers left over after Stamp Club. From those leftovers, I matched frames up and I made a series of seven cards to say thank you.
Here's a picture of the die that I used from Hello Bluebird and a link to the product page:

The thing I love about this die is that it cuts out the frame with the scalloped edge, it cuts out the "window frame" inner die and all those little fall dies too. I made a video demonstrating how I made these easy Thank You Cards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0KTqUhgSag

The other product that I used to make these cards is a stamp set from May May Made It. This stamp set is call "Happy Fall Y'all" and includes lots of cute pumpkins, leaves and an acorn as well as a wagon and other pieces.

Now, let's have a closer look at all the cards:

I used "Gilded" (gold) embossing powder by Brutus Monroe to emboss all the sentiments.

The sentiments are from Unity Stamps. They came from a Kit of The Month from the fall of 2018.

I love the peach and orange tones of this lovely card.

This card has a more masculine feel.

In addition to the thank you cards, I also made this "Happy Fall" card. I used maple leaf dies and cut them out with Brutus Monroe Glitter Card Stock in various fall colors such as gold, bronze, copper, etc.

Icy Pond: Kitchen Sink Stamp (ModSquadChallenge)

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by my blog. I made this card for the ModSquadChallenge.  The theme is "Create a Scene."  I think this card, which is made using Kitchen Sink Stamps "Icy Pond" multi-layering stamp set, is set off by the "snow" effect.  What do you think?

Notice the man ice fishing in the middle of the pond?

I love Kitchen Sink Stamps. They are so realistic!

Announcement: Createful Heart Design Team

Hello! I am excited to announce I have been selected to be a member of the Design Team for  Createful Heart Design, a digital stamp and digital paper company. The owners of Createful Heart Design, Mary, and her husband Mark draw all the digital stamps by hand and Mary designs the digital papers on her computer. It is exciting to be a part of this design team and I hope that you will check out their online store.  Here is a link to the online shop:

For September 2019, I created a card using the Northern Saw-whet Owl Digital Stamp: https://createful-heart-design.zibbet.com/northern-saw-whet-owl-hand-drawn-digital-image

I created the background of this card with Pan Pastels in blues and purples. I die cut the center using a large circle die to create an opening for the moon. I placed a piece of silver foil paper behind the circle opening to create a shiny moonI used a variety of colored pencils to color in the owl including grays and browns. I made the eyes yellow.  I fussy cut the owl image and layered the owl on top of the card panel in the center of the moon. I die cut the word "thanks" and added it to the bottom of the card

This is my card without the die cut word "Thanks" added to the bottom of the card

Thank you for checking out my first "Createful Heart Design" card that I created as a Design Team Member. I will be creating October's card soon and will try to create a video for my You Tube Channel.

Please check out the Createful Hearts Digi and Designs Facebook. Page for more information about the digital stamp designs and papers:

Mod Squad Challenge: Create a Scene

Hello!  Thank you for stopping at my blog. I made a card for the Mod Sqad Challenge. The theme for this week's challenge is to create a scene. I have always wanted to make a scene with this barn stamp from Gina K. I also added trees from the "Memory Lane" MayMay Made It stamp set.

The first thing I did was stamp the barn image using Versa Fine Claire Nocturne ink onto white card stock. I then masked the image with masking paper. I colored the background of the card panel using a stencil and pan pastels in light blue and dark green. I then stamped the brown trees and the evergreen trees. I removed the mask and colored the barn with a red alcohol marker. I used a light gray alcohol marker to color the windows. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of green card stock.  Then I adhered the panel to red card stock.

Here's another picture of the card.

If you have never heard of the "Mod Squad Challenge" please check it out - they have great prizes:
