Stencils and Critters Monthly theme hop

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am excited to be a part of the "Collected Crafty Collabs" hop. Once a month I will be participating in the hop (June-December 2020). Each month there is a different theme. This month the theme is "Critters/Stencils."  The idea is to use up products that we don't use on a regular basis. I enjoy using stencils, and I have several of them, but I don't always get to use them. Also, I have critter stamps from stamp sets that I receive on a monthly basis from the Stamps of Life. I don't always get to play with these stamp sets because I have other commitments and not enough time to use them. I was happy to make these cards and I will send them to friends who are celebrating their birthdays in July!

Hashtags for our hop:

#collectedcraftycollabs
#collectedcraftycollabshop

For my cards I used the Stamps of Life "Dolphins2Stamp" and the Brutus Monroe dolphin stencil.

For the card below, I used a black alcohol marker to create a silhouette of the dolphins. I really like the way this one turned out.

The inks that I used to create the backgrounds are Tim Holt Distress Oxide Inks - colors Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.

I used Bristol Smooth paper to ink blend the stencil background.

To color the stamped images, I used Ohuhu alcohol markers

These cards were fun to make and a great way to combine stencils with cute critter stamps!

There are lots of creators participating in this hop. Please make sure to check out all the stops in the hop. Next up is Marie at:

Safari Babies Honeybee Stamps Not 2 Shabby Design team project

Hello and welcome to my Blog. Thank you for visiting!

I made this card as part of the Not 2 Shabby Design Team. I used the Honey Bee Stamps "Safari Babies" stamp set, along with Catherine Pooler mini inks.
Links to the products I used are listed below.

I made a video of the step by step process for creating this card

The heart window was made using a Spell Binders heart die from my stash.  This heart made the perfect cut out window for this card. I colored the giraffes using Alcohol Markers from Ohuhu.

As you can see, I got alot of practice making this card. I just hope the recipients enjoy receiving this card as much as I enjoyed creating them.

To create these cards, I stamped the giraffe using Brutus Monroe Detail Ink. It is an alcohol marker friendly ink. I then colored the image with Alcohol Markers by Ohuhu. I used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut the image out. I used a heart stencil from Spellbinders to created a window in the front cover of of the card.  I glued the heart cut out to the inside panel. I then used the "Sunburst" stencil by Miss Ink stamps and Catherine Pooler ink to stencil the front of the card and the die cut heart. I used a sentiment from the AlteNew Leaf Medallion Stamp Set inside the card. On the front cover I used the die cut word "Hello."  This die cut word was created using a scrap of paper colored to match the card using Catherine Pooler ink.

Due to my video footage being corrupted, I had to film the video twice. That's why I have a total of three cards!

Roses & Dragonfly Createful Heart Design Team Card

 Hello! Welcome to my Blog!

Today I am sharing a card featuring the adorable
"Roses & Dragonfly" Digital Stamp from Createful Heart Designs. This beautiful image which features several roses and dragonflies is available at the Createful Heart Design Shophttp://createful-heart-design.zibbet.com/roses-roses-dragonfly-set-zipped-file

Here is a photo of the images that you receive when you purchase this digital stamp:
Directions / How I made this card:

1.  Using my computer, I resized the digital image of the dragon fly to make it the appropriate size for the top of the roses.

2. I printed the image using my inkjet printer and then I colored the images using Ohuhu alcohol markers. I used a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Brush Pen in Red Berry to highlight the roses.

3. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut out the images. This allowed me to cut out the roses individually.

4.    The background stamp is from Simon Says Stamp and it is called Modern Rose Blooms (SSS101912). It is a red rubber stamp. I stamped the background stamp with Versamark Embossing Ink.  I used Brutus Monroe Alabaster (White) Ultra Fine Embossing Powder to emboss the background stamp.

5.     After I heat embossed the background stamp, I used Catherine Pooler ink in Party Dress Pink to blend on top of the embossed floral background. I used a make up blending brush for this emboss resist techniqe. I then used a damp baby wipe to wipe away some of the pink ink.

6.     I used foam tape to adhere the roses to the background. I trimmed the stems from the large rose image and turned them so they would create a spray it the background. I layered the roses on top of the stems using foam tape.

7. I colored dragofly with Ohuhou markers and used wink of stella to make it sparkle.

8. I finished the card with the Hello sentiment (light pink background shadow die).

This is my 10th month as a member of the Design Team for Createful Heart Design, a digital stamp and digital paper company. It is exciting to be a part of this design team and I hope that you will check out their online store. Here is a link to the online shop: https://createful-heart-design.zibbet.com/shop
