Here For You...Rain or Shine

Hello and Thank you for visiting my Blog today.  As we all are faced with a new reality of living under "Shelter In Place" mandates, no school and scarcity of toilet paper, let us remember to be thankful that we are healthy and living in the wealthiest country in the world. The Grocery Stores will continue to restock food and paper products, despite widespread panic. Many people are hopeless because they think it is the end of the world as we know it. If we focus on the positive and take care of each other I have faith that we will weather this storm.

Speaking of weather - I made this spring time card  as part of the Not 2 Shabby Design Team to remind all of you that I am here for you rain or shine! Enjoy!

"Spring is in the Air" Stamp Set from Not 2 Shabby
I used a Postage Stamp Nesting Die set that I had in my stash to cut out the frames. I used Lawn Fawn pattern paper behind the cute critters. This paper is from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine Remix 6 x 6 Paper Pad that I purchased from Not 2 Shabby.
I used Copic Alcohol Ink Markers to color in the cute bunny and chick and their umbrellas. I used a puddle stamp from a Lawn Fawn Swan Soiree Stamp Set that I purchased at Not 2 Shabby and fussy cut the puddle for under the feet of the critters.

Here's a close up of the cloud with sentiment embossed on it. This cloud is from a die from my stash. The cloud was embossed with light blue embossing powder, but there were sections that didn't emboss very well. As you can see, that was OK because it looks really cute with the sentiment stamped with black embossing powder.
My second card features rainbow colored watering pails mounted with foam tape onto square die cuts. I used pattern paper from Lawn Fawn (the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine Remix 6 x 6 Paper Pad) to cut a banner and stamped and embossed the word Hello from the stamp set.

My third card features rainbow colored umbrellas popped up on foam dots on top of rainbow pattern paper from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine Remix 6 x 6 Paper Pad that I purchased from Not 2 Shabby. I did not put a sentiment on this card, but I can later when I mail it out.
"Summertime Buddies"
And my fourth card uses the Summertime Buddies stamp set from Not 2 Shabby.

To create this card, I used a stencil from Brutus Monroe (Tangled Waves) to create the ocean. I inked it using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink. I colored my images with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers. I used Sandcastle Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe to Create a Sand Dune (cut free hand from Craft Card Stock).

You can purchase the new stamps at the N2Shabby Shop. For those of you that must have it all there is a special discounted bundle!! Enjoy 10% off your purchase with code: N2S10 (Some exclusions apply.)

Sending Sunshine Hop

Hello!  Thank you for visiting my Blog.  Today I am excited to be part of the Sending Sunshine Blog Hop for Jeanie Eliis!  Jeanie did not know we all created videos for this hop. It was a secret meant to surprise Jeanie today! After we finished our cards we mailed them to Jeanie.

Jeanie and I are both on the Crafter Castle Design Team. She is super talented and you can find her on her You Tube Channel:
Jeanie is soon going to reach a milestone on her You Tube Channel - she will soon have 1,000 Subscribers. If you are not a subscriber yet please support Jeanie and head on over to her channel and subscribe! Thank You!

This Hop has several talented Makers. Each person is creating a special card or project for Jeanie, with the theme of Sunshine. Here's the card I created:
I made a video on my You Tube Channel that you can watch here:

Please make sure you check out everyone that is participating in the Hop! Here's a list of all the people that are participating in the hop:

Tantalaya McKinney https://youtu.be/_gIEbGfLGEw

More about my card:

In keeping with the theme of Sunshine, I created a background using a sunshine stencil from Miss Ink Stamps. This is what the stencil looks like:

  • Picked Raspberry
  • Ripe Persimmon
  • Squeezed Lemonade

I used a butterfly die cut with shadow to create the two butterflies. The butterfly on top has pink glitter card stock as the shadow and hot pink card stock for the butterfly. The butterfly on the bottom has rose gold foil as the shadow and orange card stock for the butterfly. The sentiment die is from the Stamps of Life. I used gold glitter stock for the shadow of the word hope, and yellow card stock for the actual word.

For the inside of my card, I die cut the butterfly shadow in the bottom right corner at an angle. I placed this on my card base and the butterfly shadow die created a negative space cut out.

The Butterfly Die Cut used to create negative space cut out inside the card.

The final step for my card was to stamp a sentiment .The sentiment reads "You'll Get Through This Storm and Feel the Sunshine on the Other Side," a message of hope picked especially for Jeanie. from this Visible Image Stamp Set:
Looking Forward with Hope by Visible Image Stamps

Emmie Lou Digi - Createful Heart DT March 2020

Hello. Thank you for visiting my blog. I am excited to share another card with you that I created as a design team member for the Createful Heart Design. This is my March 2020 card using the digital image: "Emmie Lou" and you can have this beautiful image too. It is available at the Createful Heart Design Shop:
 https://marketplace.zibbet.com/createful-heart-design/emmie-lou-digital-stamp

To create this card, I printed the image on my ink jet printer. I used gel pens to color the image, except for her face and arms, which I used a Copic marker to color because I didn't have any gel pens that would work for a flesh tone. I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut the image. I used foam pop dots on the back of the image to give it some dimension.

I selected a yellow card stock and some pretty green and yellow pattern paper to create my card. I needed something to add interest to the card, so I used the Heirloom Frames and Dies from Stampin Up to die cut an oval. Here is a link to the embossing folder/die combo:
I used foam pop dots to raise the Heirloom Frame up off the base of my card. The oval is a bit smaller than the image of Emmie Lou, but I think she looks good layered on top of the deeply embossed oval.

Next I had several white flowers from dollar general. I used my Copic marker to color the flowers (and the pearl in the middle of the flower) yellow. I then glued the flowers to the four corners of the card, using Beacon 3-in-1 glue:https://smile.amazon.com/Beacon-314OZ-314OZBOT12-Glue-Multicolor/dp/B001683NAO/ref=sr_1_1?_encoding=UTF8&hvadid=77790501604268&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvqmt=e&keywords=beacon+glue+3+in+1&qid=1584157023&sr=8-1

I love all the dimension on this card!

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today. I so appreciate your visit!

This is my seventh month as a member of the Design Team for  Createful Heart Design, a digital stamp and digital paper company. The owners of Createful Heart Design, Mary, and her husband Mark draw all the digital stamps by hand and Mary designs the digital papers on her computer. It is exciting to be a part of this design team and I hope that you will check out their online store. Here is a link to the online shop:
