Blossoming Branches, Designer paper, Fun Folds - 3 cards

Hello. I am posting a follow up blog post for the Blue Knight Stamps Design Team project that I created using the new Blossoming Branches stamp set. These cards focus on how to incorporate fun folds, designer paper and embossing folders to enhance the design.

For my first card, I embossed one half of a piece of  4.25" x 11" ivory cardstock with the 3D Stylized Floral embossing folder from Spellbinders. I folded this in half to form a 4.25" x 5" card base. I then folded the front of the card base (the embossed section) in half to create the fun fold. I had a piece of floral designer paper in my stash and I glued that to the inside of my card base. I stamped and colored the large Blossoming Branch with Tombow Twin Tone Pastel markers then fussy cut the branch. I glued that to the embossed side of the card base (the front, outside). I used a Thank You sentiment (matted with light peach cardstock). I added a few peach gems to finish the card.

For my second card, I embossed a piece of 4.25" x 11" coral cardstock with the 3D Stylized Floral embossing folder from Spellbinders. I folded this to create a gate fold (scored and folded at 2" and 7.5"). I then trimmed a piece of floral paper and glued that to the left side of the gate fold. My Blossoming Branch was stamped on a piece of ivory cardstock and colored with Tombow Twin Tone Pastel markers. I then glued the colored panel to the floral panel and added several gems. I did not add a sentiment to this card. When I am ready to give it away I will stamp the inside, which has a piece of light peach cardstock.

My third card is not a fun fold, but I did use the same patterned paper. I stamped The Blossoming Branch image on a piece of ivory paper and colored it with the Tombow Twin Tone Pastel markers. I matted it onto a piece of light peach card stock and glued it to the left side on top of the patterned paper. I added a Thank You sentiment matted on a piece of light peach card stock. I glued several peach gems around the colored image. I glued all this to an A2 (4.25" x 5.5") card base.

Technique Junkies - Life's Little Blessings

Hello! Today I created a card featuring a great stamp from Technique Junkies called Life's Little Blessings.  This red rubber, cling mounted stamp from Technique Junkies depicts the sentiment: "Be Grateful Every Day for Life's Little Blessings." The saying is surrounded by delicate wheat shafts. This stamp is a great focal image for inspirational, encouragement and friendship cards, along with a variety of other cards and projects. If you are interested in this or any other stamps, stencils or Shimmering Bliss Sprays from Technique Junkies, be sure to use my discount code TJ10Tracy for 10% off your order!

This card was easy to create. I ink blended on a piece of white Hammermill Premium Color Copy Cover Stock 100lbs. I used my blender brushes to ink blend this panel. I used Catherine Pooler Inks in these colors (from top to bottom):

I stamped the image onto the ink blended panel with VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I used a rectangle die to trim the stamped image, then layered it on a rectangle of gold cardstock, also cut with a rectangle die from my stash. I then used the Sizzix 3D Embossing Folder Elegant to emboss a piece of gold foil cardstock. I used this as my final layer then adhered the panels to an A2 top fold white card base.
