Spellbinders Floral Reflections Collection

Hello. Today I have two cards featuring products from the Spellbinders Floral Reflections Collection.

For my first card, I used both off white and pink pearlescent paper, embossed in the Tile Reflection Embossing Folder. I used the Sealed Wildflowers Dies, cut out using a variety of colored and patterned papers, and added some hearts from the Essential Hearts Set that were also embossed in the File Reflection Embossing Folder.. I used the beautiful Aura Hot foil on the Glimmer Essential Solid Heart hot foil plate behind the floral centerpiece.. 

For my second card I used purple paper to emboss in the Tile Reflection Embossing Folder. I used the Sealed Wildflowers Dies, cut out in a variety of colored and patterned papers. I used Rose Gold Glimmer Hot Foil for the Glimmer Essential Solid Heart. I also used the Sweet Happy Birthday Wax Seal Stamp on this card. I used a black A2 Card Base.

Fright Night and Spooky Pumpkins

Hello! Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, here with a fun Halloween Card. I used the new Spooky Pumpkin Frame and the previously released Fright Night Sentiment. I also used Catherine Pooler Inks. I ink blended my background with foam domed daubers using these Catherine Pooler Ink Colors: Chiffon, Catching Rays and Glitz. I stamped the Spooky Pumpkin Frame onto the ink blended background using Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink. I stamped the Fright Night sentiment  trimmed it with the Deckle Trimmer and popped the sentiment up with foam tape. I backed the sentiment with a piece black mat cardstock, trimmed with the Deckle Trimmer. I used dies from my stash to add three black  bats to the panel. I used a piece of yellow cardstock for a mat and placed it onto black A2 Card Base.

Deep Sea Collage - 5 Cards

Card #1 was created with the Deep Sea Collage Background (sprayed with Ocean Depth, Dolphin Cove and Miami Vice Shimmering Bliss Spray) and the Waves of Grief Sentiment Stamp (heat embossed with teal embossing powder and adhered with foam tape). I used a stitched rectangle die to cut my panel. I used a bit of string to create some added dimension on my card. 

Card #2 was created with the Deep Sea Collage Background (ink blended with Sea Glass and Bay Breeze inks by Catherine Pooler https://shop.catherinepooler.com/?aff=111). I used the Turbulent Water Stencil https://shrsl.com/3k4bp also ink blended with  Sea Glass and Bay Breeze inks). I used a stitched rectangle die to cut my panel. I used a sentiment from the Ocean Frame Sentiments (heat embossed with teal embossing powder).

Card #3 was created with the Deep Sea Collage Background (sprayed with Ocean Depth, Dolphin Cove and Miami Vice Shimmering Bliss Spray) and a sentiment from the Ocean Sentiments Set  (heat embossed with teal embossing powder). I used a stitched rectangle die to cut my panel.  My mat layer was created with the Overall Shells stencil , ink blended with Cummberbund ink from Catherine Pooler. 

Card #4 was created with the Deep Sea Collage Background (ink blended with Sea Glass and Bay Breeze inks by Catherine Pooler https://shop.catherinepooler.com/?aff=111  I used the Overall Shells stencil for the mat layer, ink blended with  Sea Glass and Bay Breeze inks). I used a stitched rectangle die to cut my panel. I used a sentiment from the Ocean Frame Sentiments.

Card #5 was created with the Deep Sea Collage Background (ink blended with Tranquil and Serene inks from Catherine Pooler) and a sentiment from the Ocean Sentiments Set . I used a stitched rectangle die to cut my panel.  My mat layer was created with the Turbulent Water stencil, ink blended with ink from Tranquil and Serene Catherine Pooler inks.

A Colorful Life Designs Graduation Card

I created this card using the Graduate Row and the Scribble Sphere Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. I also used sentiments from the "Congrats Grad" stamp set by A. Jillian Vance Designs.

To create my card, I first used Catherine Pooler Inks (Pucker Up, Catching Rays, Chiffon, Lime Rickey and Cummerbund) to blend the Graduate Row stencil. Using the complimentary mask that comes with the stencil, I covered the graduates in a row to protect them from my next step. I used a foam domed blender tool to ink blend with Catherine Pooler Ink (Serenade) over the Scribble Sphere stencil.

I finished my card by die cutting the panel with the Big and Little Chain Reaction Die by Gina Marie Designs  I then adhered all the layers to an A2 card base created using black card stock.

Boho Dots Background and How to Alter Sentiments/Masking Technique

 Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made with three different stamps from Technique Junkies. I used the brand new "Boho Dots Background" and the previously released "By Us"  and "Drunk and Disorderly."

I started by stamping the Boho Dots background with Pucker Up Ink from Catherine Pooler. Technique Junkies does sell Catherine Pooler Inks here: https://techniquejunkies.com/catherine-pooler-ink/

I used the "By Us" image, but not the sentiment. The image features two gal pals having a good laugh!  Here is a screen shot of the stamp:

Notice, the above sentiment is not the sentiment that I used on my card. Instead, I used my favorite washi tape, Spellbinder's Best Ever Craft Tape: https://shrsl.com/3guvi which adhered very well to the red rubber stamp. I covered the "No one will ever be as enterained BY US as us!" sentiment with the tape. I then used Versafine Clair nocturne ink to ink the image in the normal fashion. The next step is very important: I removed the tape before impressing the stamp onto my paper.  That is because the ink transfers to the tape and if I were to ink it with the tape still stuck on the stamp, I would get a blob of black ink where the sentient is (ask me how I know...lol).

Next, I stamped the "Drunk and Disorderly" alternative sentiment under the image of the gal pals. I then trimmed the stamped images with a square die and create a mat layering behind it using fuchsia cardstock.   I used the Big and Little Chain Reaction Die by Gina Marie Designs to die cut the Boho Dots Background image. I then adhered all the layers to an A2 card base created using fuchsia card stock.

Kitchen Sink Stamps - Get Well Teddy

I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut out the free SVG digital cut file for the Carnations and the Teddy Bear provided free at the time of purchase by Kitchen Sink Stamps. This is a digital file for use on all electronic cutting machines and is free when you purchase any stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. These offer a free die cut of your stamps. You must put the SVG file in your card before you check out. If you purchase them after you check out they cost .99 cents. They are sent directly to your email and you have a limited time to then download and save the files to your computer. I like using the SVG files because when cut out they provide a jig that helps with alignment. 

I stamped the Carnations with these Catherine Pooler Ink colors:

Flowers Step 3: Party Dress

 

For the Teddy Bear, I used the following Altenew Inks:

Step 1: Rocky Shores

Step 2: Mocha

Step 3: Espresso

Step 4: Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink

I foiled the Water Splashes Digi Background with pink hearts toner (minc) foil. I selected that background because it reminded me flourishes. I used the Altenew Fluted Oval Dies for the large pink oval and the foiled oval. I used a scalloped oval die to cut the light pink foil centerpiece that the Teddy Bear sits inside. I used foam tape to pop up the Teddy Bear and trimmed down the carnations to make a small bouquet for the Teddy Bear to hold. I used the Get Well Soon sentiment from the Get Well Teddy stamp set on my card.

I created my card by embossing the Lavender Frame and coloring it with various shades of purple ink from my Catherine Pooler inkpads (Tranquil, Serene, Serenade and Drive Inn). I selected a sentiment from the Lavender Friendship Sentiments and added that to the middle of the frame.  All four sentiments in this set fit inside this frame, I also splattered purple ink on the background and the sentiment, in an attempt to eliminate the stark white look. I used Catherine Pooler Serenade Ink to create my own colored paper to match as a mat layer.
