Bamboo and the Moon - Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

Hello. Today I have two cards created with the newly released Bamboo Border stamp from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This stamp set is part of the new July 2025 release. I created a video on my YouTube channel with details on how I made the cards featured on today's blog post:

I created my first card by first ink blending the background blue with ink, except for the moon, which I created with the medium circle from the Sun/Moon Stencil Set which I used as a mask. After ink blending the background, I splattered the panel with metallic pearl water color paint using a fan brush. I then removed the mask and used the stencil to ink blend the circle with light gray ink for the moon. I then placed the Bamboo Borders back-to-back and stamped them over top of the moon. I used a white gel pen to highlight the stamped image. The sentiment is from the Did You Know One Line Sentiments Stamp Set from Blue Knight. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my second card, I stamped the Bamboo Borders in green ink (Shady Lane by Versafine Clair) repeatedly across the 4.25" x 5.5" piece of green cardstock. I die cut that out with a stitched rectangle die. I then stamped the sentiment from Bamboo Borders onto a piece of cream-colored card stock. I matted the sentiment and the card panel with black card stock. Then I placed the matted sentiment left of center on the card panel. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Fence and Daisies - Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

New Fence and Daisies Stamp Set-Using Derwent Watercolor Pencils

Hello. Today I have three cards created with the newly released Fence and Daisies Stamp Set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This stamp is part of the new July 2025 release. I created a video on my YouTube Channel with details on how I made the cards featured on today's blog post:

For my first card, I colored the stamped image with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. I then stamped a rabbit from the Forest Animals Racoon stamp set in the lower right-hand corner. I used PanPastels and the Cloud Stencil to create the sky. I stamped the sentiment onto the panel. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my second card, I used the Sunrise Sunset PanPastel set to create a sunny background. Before applying the PanPastels, I used a circle mask from the Sun/Moon Stencil & Stamp Thru Set to mask my Sun. Next, I stamped the Fence and Daisies image onto the panel and the fox from the Forest Animals Fox set. I added branches from the tree found in the Day at the Lake stamp dry. I then stamped the small eagle from the Eagle and Foliage set. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my third card, I used the Day and Night PanPastel set to create a nighttime scene. Before applying the PanPastels, I used a circle mask from the Sun/Moon Stencil & Stamp Thru Set to mask the moon. Next, I stamped the Fence and Daisies image onto the panel and the fox from the Forest Animals Fox set. I added branches from the tree found in the Day at the Lake stamp dry. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").
Here's a list of the products that I used to create today's cards:

Bird's Song - Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

Bird's Song Stamp Set and Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Designer Paper

Hello. I am excited to be posting several cards that I created as a design team member for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps   Today's cards feature the new Bird's Song stamp set. This stamp set includes three stamps: One the grass and bird scene, and two individual sentiments.

Please check out my YouTube Channel for a video on how I made the cards featured on today's blog post:

For my first card, I stamped the scene using Archival Ink onto a piece of paper from the Stormy Skies Designer Paper pack from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. The sentiment is from Bible Verses 2 stamp set from Blue Knight. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my second card, I stamped the scene using Archival Ink onto the reverse side of paper from the Stormy Skies Designer Paper pack from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This reverse side of the paper features a beautiful blue sky with clouds and a rainbow. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").
For my third card, I selected another piece of paper from the Stormy Skies Designer Paper pack from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This paper features an atmospheric background with an orange, gold and bluish sky with lightening. I stamped the scene with the Bird's Song stamp using Archival Ink and then stamped one of the sentiments. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").
For my fourth and final card, I used the Blue Knight Pan Pastels Day and Night set and the Cloud Stencil to create my background. I stamped the scene and the sentiment using Archival Ink and added two branches from the SilhouetteBirds and Branches stamp set from Blue Knight. I trimmed 1/8" around the panel and then mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Stamp and Watercolor with Blue Knight's New Release Cattails and Lily Pads

Hello. I am excited to be posting several cards that I created as a design team member for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps   Today's cards feature the new Cattails and Lily Pads stamp set. This stamp set includes three stamps: One large Cattails and Lily Pads scene, and two individual frogs.

Please check out my YouTube Channel for a video on how I made the cards featured on today's blog post:

For my first card, I stamped the Cattails and Lily Pads stamp with tuxedo black Versafine Ink onto a piece of paper from the Cloudy Sky Designer Paper. I then colored the image with Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils. For this card, I water colored the lilies red. I mounted the finished panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my second card, I stamped the Cattails and Lily Pads stamp with tuxedo black Versafine Ink onto a piece of watercolor paper. I then colored the image with Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor pencils (sets 1 & 2). Using the two silhouette frogs that are included in the stamp set, I stamped three frogs on the lily pads and the cattails. For this card, I water colored the lilies purple. I mounted the finished panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Sea Grass & Pan Pastel Scene - Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

Creating a Beach Scene with Pan Pastels and the new Sea Grass Stamp Set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

Hello. I'm back to my blog again after a long break. I am excited to be posting several fun cards that I created as a guest designer on the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Design Team for the month of July 2025. Check back every Wednesday in July for a new post with cards that I create with stamps from the Blue Knight new release.

This week we are highlighting the new Sea Grass Stamp Set. This stamp set includes three stamps: One large Sea Grass and two medium sized Sea Grass. These stamps will go very well with several other beach stamp sets from Blue Knight

Please check out my YouTube Channel for a video on how I made some of the cards featured on my blog post

For my first card, I used the Beach Scene Stamp for my background. I stamped it with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink. I used the medium circle from the Sun/Moon Stencil Set as a mask for my sun before layering the Pan Pastels. I used yellow and orange for the sunset, with accents of red iron oxide. For the ocean I used light blue, blue, turquoise and ultramarine blue. For the sand I used metallic light gold, bronze and copper. Then I stamped the medium Sea Grass on the lower right and lower left corners and the top half of the large Sea Grass in the center of the card panel. I then stamped a group of birds from the Flock of Birds stamp set in the upper left-hand corner. I then removed the circle mask and used the matching stencil to color in the sun with yellow Pan Pastel.  I mounted the finished panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my second card, I created a sunset scene using Catherine Pooler Inks (Pucker Up, Catching Rays and Chiffon ink colors) and foam domed blending tools. I then stamped the large Sea Grass in the center of the panel using Midnight Catherine Pooler Ink, followed by the two medium Sea Grass stamped in the lower left and lower right-hand corners. I then added a sentiment from the Bible Verse 2 stamp set.  I mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my third card, I again used the Beach Scene stamp set. I colored the ocean and the beach with Pan Pastels. For the sky I used the Cloud Stencil from Blue Knight and made clouds with Pan Pastels. I stamped the medium sized Sea Grass stamps in the bottom left- and right-hand corners. I then stamped a section of fence from the Beach Fence stamp set. I colored the fence in with colored pencils. I stamped the airplane from the Beach Chairs and Accessories stamp set and colored the plane in with gray and blue colored pencils. I will finish this card later with a sentiment to fit the occasion, but I believe this card would be a good masculine birthday, retirement or get well soon card. I mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my next card, I tried to create a beach scene featuring surfers from the Surfers Guy and Gal stamp set. I started pan pastels in light gold and bronze on the bottom third of the card panel. On that I used the medium sized Sea Grass and stamped those in the bottom left and right corners of the card panel. I then stamped a section of fence from the Beach Fence stamp set and colored the fence in with colored pencils. Then I added some blue Pan Pastels for the water and I used the medium circle from the Sun/Moon Stencil Set as a mask for my sun before layering the Pan Pastels for the sunset.  I then removed the circle mask and used the matching stencil to color in the sun with yellow Pan Pastel.  I mounted the finished panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For my final card, I stamped the Beach Scene Stamp Set and followed the same steps as I did with my first card, with a few differences. I colored the sky, water and sand with Pan Pastels. I used the Beach Fence stamp set to stamp a section of the fence and placed two medium Sea Grass stamps in the lower left and right hand corners. I stamped a group of birds from the Flock of Birds, to right of the sun which I created with the Sun/Moon Stencil. I mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock and then adhered the matted panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

The Pan Pastels that I used are available at Blue Knight Rubber Stamps:
