Hello. Thank you for visiting my Blog. I started making hand made cards in January 2018 and now I create cards almost every day. I love making cards to give away to other people. When I discovered card making it lit a spark within me that drives me to always learn new things and make new cards every chance I get.I live in Western Pennsylvania with my husband and my son and our dog Karley, who is a mix between a yellow lab and a pit bull.
One final Technique Junkies card from the August collection. This one features the Leopard, Set of 6, stamp set which includes five sentiments and this wavy leopard pattern. I heat embossed the leopard print with black embossing powder and ink blended with a brush the color Catching Rays. I matted the image on black cardstock. I also heat embossed the sentiment on gold cardstock and layered that on a black mat, both cut with the deckle trimmer. I added a few gems and this dramatic card was complete. Super easy and so much fun!

Hello! Today I created a card featuring a great stamp from Technique Junkies called Life's Little Blessings. This red rubber, cling mounted stamp from Technique Junkies depicts the sentiment: "Be Grateful Every Day for Life's Little Blessings." The saying is surrounded by delicate wheat shafts. This stamp is a great focal image for inspirational, encouragement and friendship cards, along with a variety of other cards and projects. If you are interested in this or any other stamps, stencils or Shimmering Bliss Sprays from Technique Junkies, be sure to use my discount code TJ10Tracy for 10% off your order!
I stamped the image onto the ink blended panel with VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I used a rectangle die to trim the stamped image, then layered it on a rectangle of gold cardstock, also cut with a rectangle die from my stash. I then used the Sizzix 3D Embossing Folder Elegant to emboss a piece of gold foil cardstock. I used this as my final layer then adhered the panels to an A2 top fold white card base.
Hello! This cute card is getting a lot of positive feedback on Facebook, so I thought should add a blog post to share some information on how I created this beauty! Thanks to everyone on Facebook who commented and THANK YOU for stopping by my blog today.
I created this card using the Three Rectangle Shadow Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray, and then placed a white card panel size 4.25" x 5.5" (Hammermill Premium Color Copy Plus paper) behind the stencil. The stencil has laser etched guides on the top so that you can perfectly align the stencil:
I used Catherine Pooler Inks in these Colors:
Catching Rays (top rectangle)
Cummerbund (middle rectangle)
In the Park (bottom rectangle)
Using foam domed blending tools, I ink blended the rectangles.
I stamped the Musical Dandelion first. I then added the large bird in the bottom rectangle and the smaller bird in the top rectangle. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink to stamp these Fairy Hugs stamps. I then used a die from my stash. The word Hope is very special to me, and I felt the birds and the musical dandelion were very hopeful images. I used orange holographic paper to cut out the word Hope. I also cut the word Hope out with white card stock twice. Then I glued the two white die cuts under the orange holographic die cut, creating a three layer die cut. After that, I simply trimmed the edges of the panel with my guillotine trimmer and adhered it to an A2 top folding card base.
Here is a list of the supplies that I used:

My first card was created with Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss Spray. I sprayed it on a card panel, sealed it with hairspray, let it air dry and stamped the Lighthouse on Cliff stamp directly on top of the sprayed panel. I used the "I'd Be Lost Without You" sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments stamp set. This I layered on top of a piece of mirrored card stock. The stamped panel I layered on top of a mat made with Mirror Holographic Cardstock.
For my second card, I used masking paper and an ink dauber with yellow ink to create a light beam. I removed the masking paper and stamped the Lighthouse on Cliff stamp. I used an ink dauber and the Cloud Edger stencil to create clouds. The ink colors that I used were Broken Glass and Blueprint Sketch. I colored the stamped image with colored pencils. I used a sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments stamp set. I used the Deckle Edge trimmer to trim the sentiment and ink blended the edges. I layered this on top of a blue foil cardstock mat (also Deckle trimmed). I then layered the panel onto of a piece of mirror holographic cardstock.
For my third card, I used masking paper and an ink dauber with yellow ink to create a light beam. I removed the masking paper and stamped the Lighthouse on Cliff stamp. I used an ink dauber and the Cloud Edger stencil to create clouds. I used gray inks to create these clouds. I colored the stamped image with colored pencils. I used a sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments stamp set. I used the Deckle Edge trimmer to trim the sentiment and ink blended the edges with blue ink. I layered this on top of mirror holographic cardstock. I then layered the panel onto of a piece of mirror holographic cardstock cut with a stitched rectangle die.
I created a video tutorial demonstrating how I made these cards. Please click on the picture below to view the video: https://youtu.be/2Dj-KAHYnJg

Hello! Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, here today to share the beautiful Wildflower Hiking Boots stamp from Technique Junkies (SD1122) and the sentiment stamp: World Reveals Itself (SDX196). I made three cards, each using the emboss resist water coloring technique. These are part of the August 2021 New Release from Technique Junkies. I used an emboss resist technique to water color my cards. The first one (pictured above) is colored with reinkers from Catherine Pooler. I layered the stamped imagine, as well as the sentiment, on top of a mat that I ink blended with Catherine Pooler Inks. I created a video tutorial on my YouTube channel with step-by-step details on how I put these cards together:
For my second card, I used the same emboss resist technique, and I water colored with Zig Clean Color dye ink makers. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment directly below the image. I layered the stamped imagine, as well as the sentiment, on top of a special mat layer. This mat was created with Vivid Volt and Mindaro Shimmering Bliss Sprays. I used the Skeleton Leaf Stencil from a Colorful Life Designs. This stencil is available at Technique Junkies. I ink blended on top of the stencil, using Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed the top panel and used the Crop-A-Dile - 2 in 1 Corner Punch Chomper Tool to cut rounded corners.
For my final card, I water colored the embossed image with Zig Clean Color dye ink makers. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment directly below the image.I dried the water colored boots and and sprayed the entire panel with Mixed Metals Shimmering Blissspray from Technique Junkies. I used hairspray as a fixative for the Simmering Bliss spray.I trimmed the top panel and used the Crop-A-Dile - 2 in 1 Corner Punch Chomper Tool to cut rounded corners. I used the A Colorful Life Designs new Mountain Edger Stencils to create a background panel. I used Catherine Pooler inks to ink blend the stencils and created mountain ranges. I also used the A Colorful Life Designs Cloud Edger Stencil, available at Technique Junkies, to create clouds above the mountains.

Hello! I am super excited to share some of the exciting new August 2021 release stencils from A Colorful Life Designs! These are amazing landscape scene building stencils that you can purchase individually to build the perfect scene.
I created a video tutorial on my You Tube channel that demonstrates how to use the stencils:
For my first card, I used the Tree Line Edger 4 and Mountain Edger Stencils 1, 2, 3 and 4 along with the wonderful Cloud Edger stencil, a perennial favorite!
Here's more information on how I created this card.
1. I cut a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 inch Hammermill Premium Color Copy Paper. This paper is as smooth as Bristol Smooth and less expensive. It come comes in both 80 and 100 lbs. I prefer the 100 weight for ink blending and coloring with alcohol ink markers. Paper is available at Amazon: Hammermill Premium Color Copy Paper
2. I used the Tree Line Edger 4 and Sea Glass Ink from Catherine Pooler Ink to create the tree line at the bottom of the card. I used blending brushes to create this card. I then lightly misted the inked trees with water, creating a more distressed tree line.
3. I used Cove Blue Ink from Catherine Pooler and the Mountain Edger 1 to create the large mountain range - it appears to be tucked right behind the tree line. I also misted this with water because I am trying to create a misty mountain range.
4. I used Serene Ink from Catherine Pooler and Mountain Edger 2 to create my next layer of mountain peaks. Again, I misted with water.
5. I did not reink my brush that had Serene Ink. I used the remaining Serene Ink with Mountain Edger 1. By not reinking my brush, I created a lighter shade of mountain range. I misted it with water.
6. For the final Mountain Edger 4, I used Catherine Pooler Tranquil Ink. I misted it with water.
7. I used the Cloud Edger stencil and Tranquil Ink from Catherine Pooler to create the clouds. I misted them with water when I finished inking them.
8. I stamped a bear family and a moose on the front of my card (using stamps from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps). I grabbed the sentiment "Adventure Awaits" from a pack of Tim Holtz Chipboard Quotes (Theories) and ink blended it with Serene and Cove Blue Inks. I glued the chipboard quote to the top of the card. I glued the card base to a black A2 top folding card base.
For my second card (above), I used a variety of green colored inks from Catherine Pooler for the Mountain ranges. I used Tranquil Ink from Catherine Pooler to create the clouds with the Cloud Edger stencil. I also used some Hot Air Balloons stamps from my stash. I colored the balloons with Gel Pens. These are from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. I cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut. I use the Most Alive stamp from Technique Junkies for my sentiment. I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the card panel. The man in the boat on the water are stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps (Cabin by the Lake). I put links to these stamps in my description box below. I used the Deckle Edge Trimmer to trim the sentiment and the card panel. I used black ink to ink the edges of the panel, making for a more dramatic frame. I adhered the panel to a yellow A2 Side Folding card base.
For my final card, I used green inks from Catherine Pooler to blend my stencils and I used Cummerbund Blue Ink from Catherine Pooler with the Cloud Edger Stencil to create the clouds. The trees that I stamped and the sentiment are from Stampscapes. The birds are from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. I use a torn edge die to die cut the stamped panel and layered it on a piece of dark gray wood cardstock.

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am showcasing another stunning stamp from the August 2021 new release from Technique Junkies! This stamp is the lovely Lavender Collage and I created two cards that accentuate this stamp's collage style. This stamp, and all of the New Release August 2021 Stamps, are 15% off until August 8, 2021. And, you can use my coupon codeTJ10Tracy for 10% off everything else in your order.
For my first card (above), I used a card panel that I made a few months ago and a die cut butterfly from my stash. Here are the steps I took to create the card:
3. I dipped my paint brush in some Iridescent Shimmering Bliss Spray from Technique Junkies, that I sprayed into a small cup. I added a few drops of water to get a clear, iridescent water color. I used my round tipped paint brush to drop some of this iridescent water color on my panel. The water reacted with the ink, forming round drops in the background.
4. I stamped the Wonder sentiment, taken from the Technique Junkies "Dream, Hope, Wish, Wonder," Set of 4 stamp set (SDX-018) and used Tranquil Ink by Catherine Pooler to color the sentiment panel. This is a very light blue color ink. I used a piece of purple mirror cardstock as my mat. I trimmed both the sentiment and the mat using the Deckle Edge Trimmer. I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the foil mat.
5. I die cut the butterfly shadow layer using a piece of lilac colored Tim Holtz foil cardstock. I die cut the butterfly using a contrasting color of purple foil card stock. This gave me a two toned foiled butterfly, which I glued to the bottom right corner of the panel.
6. I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.25" and adhered it to the top of a black A2 top folding card base.
For my second card, I again used a panel from my stash that I created a few months ago. This card panel also accentuates the slightly grungy style of Lavender Collage stamp from Technique Junkies.
Here's how I made my second card:
1. I cut a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 inch Canson Cold Press Watercolor cardstock. I sprayed a very light mist of water on this paper, making it slightly damp.
2. I blended the background panel using a variety of yellow and orange gelatos. I used a moist baby wipe to blend the gelatos.
3. I splattered black acrylic paint on the background. This was done several months before I ever received this stamp, yet the ink splatters go so well with this stamped image.
4. I stamped the sentiment stamp "There is Always Hope" from Technique Junkies (SD651) onto a piece of white cardstock, then ink blended it with Catherine Pooler Catching Rays Ink. I used the Deckle Edge Trimmer to cut the sentiment and a black mat layer of card stock behind the sentiment. I used Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink to ink blend the edges of the sentiment, giving it a grunge look. I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the black mat.
5. I used the Deckle Edge Trimmer to trim the panel then adhered it to an A2 top folding black card base.

Hello and welcome to my blog! It is time for the August 2021 new release from Technique Junkies! I have a few cards that I created from the new release. Join me on my YouTube Channel for my Live Presentation at 7 p.m. on August 1, 2021 where I will preview all these new stamps:

For my first card, I used the Just Beautiful stamp (#SD1138) to create this colorful card. First, I die cut a piece of 120 lb. Accent Opaque with the small notched rectangles die from my stash. I heat embossed the stamped image with black embossing powder. I then ink smooshed it using Catherine Pooler inks. I dried the wet card stock with my heat tool and then I splashed the ink with a fan brush over the panel. This created fun splatters in various colors. I dried the panel and layered it on two different colors of pink cardstock. Then I adhered the the layered panels to an A2 top folding white card base.
For my second card, I used Autumn Floral Mandala (#S911) background stamp from the new release. I also used the Get Well Soon (#SDX126) sentiment stamp from a previous release. I used gelatos to blend a background panel. I used oranges and yellows on water color card stock. I made sure the card stock was damp first, then I colored the panel. Then I used a baby wipe to blend the gelatos. For the sentiment I stamped it on white card stock then used Catherine Pooler Catching Rays Ink to blend ink on the panel. I also used Catherine Pooler Sandcastle Ink to ink the edges of the sentiment. I used the deckle trimmer to trim both the sentiment and black mat layer behind the sentiment. I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the black mat layer. Then I mounted the sentiment to the colored panel and the colored panel to an A2 black card base.
