Sending Sunshine Hop

Hello!  Thank you for visiting my Blog.  Today I am excited to be part of the Sending Sunshine Blog Hop for Jeanie Eliis!  Jeanie did not know we all created videos for this hop. It was a secret meant to surprise Jeanie today! After we finished our cards we mailed them to Jeanie.

Jeanie and I are both on the Crafter Castle Design Team. She is super talented and you can find her on her You Tube Channel:
Jeanie is soon going to reach a milestone on her You Tube Channel - she will soon have 1,000 Subscribers. If you are not a subscriber yet please support Jeanie and head on over to her channel and subscribe! Thank You!

This Hop has several talented Makers. Each person is creating a special card or project for Jeanie, with the theme of Sunshine. Here's the card I created:
I made a video on my You Tube Channel that you can watch here:

Please make sure you check out everyone that is participating in the Hop! Here's a list of all the people that are participating in the hop:

More about my card:

In keeping with the theme of Sunshine, I created a background using a sunshine stencil from Miss Ink Stamps. This is what the stencil looks like:

  • Picked Raspberry
  • Ripe Persimmon
  • Squeezed Lemonade

I used a butterfly die cut with shadow to create the two butterflies. The butterfly on top has pink glitter card stock as the shadow and hot pink card stock for the butterfly. The butterfly on the bottom has rose gold foil as the shadow and orange card stock for the butterfly. The sentiment die is from the Stamps of Life. I used gold glitter stock for the shadow of the word hope, and yellow card stock for the actual word.

For the inside of my card, I die cut the butterfly shadow in the bottom right corner at an angle. I placed this on my card base and the butterfly shadow die created a negative space cut out.

The Butterfly Die Cut used to create negative space cut out inside the card.

The final step for my card was to stamp a sentiment .The sentiment reads "You'll Get Through This Storm and Feel the Sunshine on the Other Side," a message of hope picked especially for Jeanie. from this Visible Image Stamp Set:
