Boys with Pets - Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Design Team

Hello. Today on my blog I am featuring two cards that I created using the "Boys with Pets" stamp set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This is my final blog post for the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps because unfortunately, I was not selected to continue as a member of the design team. I want to thank Lynn and Michelle for having me as a guest designer from June - December 2020. I have enjoyed representing your company and promoting your incredible stamps.
I created a video on my YouTube channel demonstrating how I made my first card:
To create this card, I used a piece of 4" x 5.25" Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I blended Yellow and Orange PanPastels to create the background. I stamped the trees (from the "Evergreens" stamp set by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps) in my stamp positioning tool using Rainforest Versafine Clair Ink. I then inked the small silhouette boy & dog stamp using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. In order to ground the stamped silhouette image, I used a #110 Black Licorice Copic Marker to draw a silhouette mound or rock ledge that the boy and his dog are standing on. I finished the card panel by stamping the sentiment "Thinking of You" and stamping some birds flying above one of the Evergreen Trees. I sealed the PanPastels by spraying the panel with hairspray. I mounted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock then adhered the finished design to an A2 sized card base.
Card #2
For my second card, I ink blended Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of 4" x 5.25" Bristol Smooth card stock. I used my stamp positioning tool to stamp the small boy & cat silhouette stamp using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I had a die from my stash that I cut with black card stock and framed the boy with his cat inside the die cut.  I adhered the card panel to an A2 card base.
