As an affiliate with Catherine Pooler Designs, I was offered the opportunity to received the new refreshed ink pads and a stamp and die from the new collection. Here are the cards that I made:

To create the card above I used a single lantern from the new Lantern Festival Stamp and Die set and the three new refreshed inks: Oh Boy! (replaces It's a Boy), Minted (replaces Mint to Be) and Sixteen Candles (replaced Sweet Sixteen).  The new refreshed inks replace the retired versions. The new inks are part of the Spring Fling collection and are a part of the family of inks in the Party Collection. I also use the Jack in the Box stencil (from a previous release), ink blending just a small portion of the stencil. My sentiment says "Sending you Good Luck." I used a die from my stash to cut the many mat layers. Note, I dragged the ink pad along the four edges of a piece of Catherine Pooler Premium Card Stock to create all the colorful mat layers. I alternated Sixteen Candles and Oh Boy! inks.   The card base was also created by ink dragging the ink pad along the edges of the card base.

For my second card I created a landscape orientation card. I used the same inks and the same stencil as my first card. I didn't ink blend the entire background with the stencil, just the center of the card. I used all three different lanterns from the stamp set and my sentiment says "Let's Celebrate Good Times."  The purple card base is actually just a white card base with Sweet Sixteen ink pad dragged around the edges. It's a great way to create perfectly match color coordinated mat layers or card bases. I popped these lanterns up with foam tape, giving the card some dimension.

My final card uses an older stencil that is no longer available, but I am sure many of you have it in your stash. It is the Deco Fan Stencil. I ink blended only the inner section of the card panel, creating what I think is a softer looking stenciled background. I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die from my stash. I also used the "Hello There" sentiment from the One Liner Sentiments Stamp Set. I popped the entire card panel up with foam tape and for my card base I ink dragged the edges with Mint to Be.  I think this one is my favorite because I was able to incorporate the leaves (a stamp in the Lantern Festival Set) along the top of the card, giving everything a more ornate appearance.
