Two Cards for a Difficult Time - Technique Junkies and A Colorful Life Designs

Hello. Today I have two cards that can be shared with a friend who is having a difficult time. I used the new Elegant Poet Background  https://techniquejunkies.com/elegant-poet-background/ and Difficult Time Stamp Sets from Technique Junkies: https://techniquejunkies.com/difficult-time-set-of-2/ (save 10% with my code: TJ10Tracy) along with the new Baroque Stencil: https://shrsl.com/3brae from A Colorful Life Designs (Save 10% with my code: TracyFan10):

All the of the January 2022 new release stamps from
Technique Junkies are all on sale for 15% off through Dec. 8, 2022

To create these cards, I started with the background. I cut a piece of Hammermill Premium Color Copy Cover Paper (I use 100 lbs) down to a quarter of a page, or 4.25" x 5.5". I will have a list below with the supplies that I used.

I used a stencil that is newly released from A Colorful Life Designs. It is the Baroque Stencilhttps://shrsl.com/3brae  You can check out all the new release stencils from A Colorful Life Designs here: https://shrsl.com/2png9  Don't forget to use my code: TracyFan10 to save 10% on your entire order at A Colorful Life Designs.

I created this background by ink blending on top of the stencil with Serenade Catherine Pooler Ink. I tried to use a light touch, but I tend to be heavy handed.

Next, I stamped the Elegant Poet Background stamp directly on top of the ink blended panel. I used Black Jack Catherine Pooler Ink, because I didn't want to use Midnight (black) ink and I found that Twilight (light gray) was too light of a color.

I picked the Difficult Time, Set of 2 sentiment stamps from Technique Junkies for my sentiments: https://techniquejunkies.com/difficult-time-set-of-2/ (save 10% with my code: TJ10Tracy). The Elegant Poet Background stamp can be oriented in portrait or landscape direction (horizontal). For my cards, I chose the landscape direction which allowed enough room for these great sentiments to be stamped. I used Midnight (black) Catherine Pooler Ink to stamp the sentiments.

To finish the cards, I trimmed the panels to 4" x 5" and adhered them to a black A2 card bases.
